J Deschamps is a seasoned film editor and photographer based in Toronto, Ontario, with nearly three decades of experience. As the founder of Static Motion Pictures, he has built a career defined by precision, artistry, and a deep passion for visual storytelling.
With more than 200 music videos to his name and nine MuchMusic Video Award nominations, J has made a significant and lasting impact on the music industry. His expertise extends across television and film, and he was recently honoured with his second CSA nomination for Best Picture Editing for his work on The Traitors Canada. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with high-profile directors on multiple critically acclaimed series including Hell Motel and Slasher.
